Rancho Cucamonga is a premiere city in the Inland Empire of California -- one of the nation's fastest growing metropolitan areas. Located 37 miles east of downtown Los Angeles, Rancho Cucamonga incorporated in 1977. The City's boundaries cover an area of 39.08 square miles.

The current population is approximately 137,000 and is expected to continue to grow to a size of 170,000 by the year 2010. The Uniform Crime Report, released annually by the FBI, has identified Rancho Cucamonga as one of the safest cities in the country with cities of populations over 100,000. Recently, the California Retail Survey identified the City the as ninth (9th) fastest growing retail market in California.

Schools in Rancho Cucamonga consistently rank among the best in San Bernardino County.

Crowned by the beautiful San Gabriel mountains, Rancho Cucamonga boasts planned communities and award-winning architecture in addition to a quality, family lifestyle. A heritage of vineyards, ranchos, orchards, and wineries are reflected in historic buildings that meld with the newer, suburban developments.

Housing is primarily single-family, complemented by neighborhood and community parks including the RC Epicenter, a world class minor league baseball stadium which is currently the home of the California League Rancho Cucamonga Quakes.

The new Rancho Cucamonga Public Library opened in September 1994. High quality office and commercial development highlight the major arterials. Significant expansion activities include the planning of aesthetic lakes, large industrial parks, and a regional shopping center (currently under construction) that will also feature a civic Performing Arts Center and Public Library. For golf lovers, the Arnold Palmer-signature Empire Lakes championship golf course opened in 1995.
