Why Your House Isn't SellingWhile you may be listing the most wonderful home, in the perfect Inland Empire location, there is always a risk that no one is buying – why? People decide to invest in homes for a variety of reasons; some that are personal and some that are financial or practical. Because you cannot control the emotions of the buyers who walk through your door, you cannot either guarantee that your house will sell right away – no matter how perfect it is.
Is there nothing you can do? If you find yourself in this unfortunate situation where your house is not selling, try to rethink your approach a little – and if you haven’t done so already, ask for advice from an experienced listing agent.
Always try to place yourself in an anonymous buyer’s situation, and try to view your home from a stranger’s perspective. This means you need to really adopt a buyer’s view - a buyer that often sees little or no tangible value in the very personal touches you have added to your home over the years. Even if it is a truly emotional challenge, try to perfect your home’s surface by removing dated features and color schemes, and make it fresh and neutral enough for buyers to see themselves move in and be satisfied with their new life in the house you sell.
